Sports and Editorial Services Australia delivers well-researched articles and features on a range of topics to national and local media outlets, including radio and television. Articles appear on a regular basis in general and specialist press outlets.

Football

Sports and Editorial Services Australia specialises in the study and presentation of the history of football in Australia and overseas. SESA brings academic rigour and interesting and challenging presentation to the understanding of the place of the various codes of football in the culture of the communities where the games are played. Roy Hay and Bill Murray, A History of Football in Australia: A Game of Two Halves, will be published by Hardie Grant on 1 May 2014.

Research

Sports and Editorial Services Australia provides high-quality research and consultancy services to institutions and individuals across a wide variety of areas and can draw on expertise in a number of different disciplines. Research reports and analyses have been prepared for Victoria Police, Victoria Office of Housing and the Trustees of the Alexander Miller Estate, Football Federation Victoria, the National Sports Museum, the Cities of Melbourne and Greater Dandenong, and Heritage Victoria.

Publishing

Sports and Editorial Services Australia publishes independently and in association with others a range of books, booklets and other materials across a wide spectrum of subjects in Australia and the United Kingdom. Both academic and general titles are produced. Publications range from histories of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, St Joseph’s College Geelong, and Green Gully Soccer Club, to biographies of Andrew Fisher, James ‘Dun’ Hay and Catherine Wells.

Editing

Sports and Editorial Services Australia provides high-quality editing services to individuals, institutions and publishing houses. Books have been edited for a range of institutions in Australia and the United Kingdom, and for Random House, Harper Collins, Melbourne University Press and other leading publishers in Australia. SESA can provide editorial services for students completing university theses according to the rules of specific academic institutions.

In recent years SESA has acted as a consultant for Victoria Police, Heritage Victoria, Football Federation Victoria, the City of Melbourne, the City of Greater Dandenong, the Office of Housing and the Trustees of the Estate of Alexander Miller, the National Sports Museum, and a number of individuals. Current projects include a social history of Australian football (soccer).
